From July 21 to 25, the 11th International Conference of the Société d'Études Samaritaines will be held under the title "Samaritan Studies. SÉS at Forty" in Hamburg.
The Société d’Études Samaritaines is an international organization for scholars working on various topics related to Samaritan studies. The congress meets every three years and is the most important meeting of experts working in the field of Samaritan studies worldwide. The congress will be jointly organized by the SÉS, and Faculty of Humanities, Department of Protestant Theology of the University of Hamburg (Institute for New Testament Studies, Prof. Dr. Martina Böhm). 24 scientists from nine countries give lectures in English.
