An invitation from the Center for Peace Church Theology to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Center for Peace Church Theology
In 2006, the Research Unit for Theology of the Peace Churches (ATF) was established within the Department of Protestant Theology at the University of Hamburg—thanks to the intellectual and financial support of many different people. This support made this unique institution for researching a "theology of the peace churches" and representing it in teaching at a German-speaking university possible in the first place!
We would love to celebrate this eventful and moving history of the ATF! Under the theme "Creating Spaces for Peace and Peace Theology," we have invited many companions from Germany and abroad, with whom we also want to look to the future: on Friday with a small symposium at the university and a "storytelling" evening; on Saturday with a "peace marketplace"; and on Sunday with a festive service at the Mennonite Church Hamburg-Altona.
We are thrilled to be part of this ATF story ourselves and hope to open up further spaces for peace theology with you during this celebratory weekend.
On Friday, the event will take place at the University of Hamburg – Main Building, Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1 (West).
On Saturday and Sunday, the events will take place at the Mennonite Church Hamburg-Altona, Mennonitenstrasse 20, 22769 Hamburg.
