Institutes

The Department of Protestant Theology is divided into six institutes:

  • Institute of Old Testament
  • Institute for New Testament
  • Institute for Church and Dogma History
  • Institute of Systematic Theology
  • Institute for Practical Theology
  • Institute for Missiology, Ecumenism and Religious Studies

The department has a common departmental library for all institutes.

Two research centers are assigned to the institutes:

The Missionsakademie at the University of Hamburg is also closely related to the department, and especially to the Institute for Missiology, Ecumenism and Religious Studies.
