Devotion at the beginning of the Passion time

The weeks before Easter are a period of reflection and repentance. In this 40-day period, also called time of suffering or Lent, Christians are looking forward to Easter. The teachers of the Mennonite Seminary reflect on this period with a short video in the project Menno Moment. From Ash Wednesday, a new video will appear every week on the YouTube channel of Mennonite Netherlands.

'At the moment I teach the course The Spirituality of Nonviolence (the spirituality of nonviolence) at the university. In this course, the leading question is: How do Christians find the strength to turn against injustice on a political level while fighting without violence? What is the source of their strength, especially in times of strong resistance, hostility, and even confinement?
